Marlboro is a brand of cigarettes made by Philip Morris USA (a branch of Altria) within the US, and by Philip Morris International (now separate from Altria) outside the US. It is famous for its billboard advertisements and magazine ads of the Marlboro Man.
The brand is named after Great Marlborough Street, the location of its original London Factory. Richmond, Virginia is now the location of the largest Marlboro cigarette manufacturing plant.
Today, there are many different styles of cigarettes made by Marlboro, and all of the types are filtered cigarettes. Marlboro no longer offers unfiltered types because they feel they are offering a better quality product to their customer
